Xenatus’ J2EE Consultant is accountable for the delivery of technical consulting services to effect the successful implementation of solutions on behalf of clients. The focus of these solutions is the intersection of highly effective business operations and highly leveraged technology. The J2EE Consultant works autonomously within a team environment, and is responsible for the hands-on development of system modules, starting from their conception and carrying through to their rollout and initial production support.
Responsibilities
Assist in project planning sessions
Analyze and document business processes and requirements
Perform gap analysis between existing software and requirements
Prepare conceptual design documents
Maintains current knowledge of technical changes, advancements and/or improvements within assigned area or discipline, incorporating these improvements where applicable.
Prepare technical specifications
Create and manage all technical application documentation, including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, use case models, collaboration diagrams
Maintain Rose model and all design artifacts for application
Develop quality code utilizing J2EE standards:

Troubleshoot
Modify
Create
Pilot/Test software:
Write test scripts
Develop test plans
Run test scenarios
Document results
Prepare system and process documentation
Train system users
Develop and leverage formal and informal networks

Qualifications
1+ Years Information Technology experience
Hands-on J2EE development using JSP, EJB, Servlets with one or more of the following J2EE application servers: Weblogic, Websphere , iPlanet or JBOSS
Experience with Web Servers (Apache or Netscape) and Java IDE Eclipse, Jbuilder, or Rational XDE
Experience working with the following: Rational Rose, Rose/XDE, Rational Software Architect, Together J, Unix/Linux, Scripting Languages ANT,Unix Shell or Perl
Experience writing SQL/PL-SQL and stored procedures for (Oracle 8i or higher) databases
Working experience with SDLC methodology
Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques
Working experience with process definition such as Data Flow Diagramming, Process Flow Charting and Process Modeling
Working experience with Data Modeling, Entity Relationship Diagramming, and Database Design
Intimate knowledge of productivity tools – Microsoft Office and SQL
Excellent customer service and interpersonal (team) skills
Communication skills - speaks and writes clearly in English
Superior communication and collaboration skills
Ability to collaborate across the organization to meet the needs of the client
A B.S./B.A. degree is required
